Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), expanded its partnership with Delicato Family Wines (DFW), a fourth-generation family-owned company founded in 1924. Delicato is the fifth-largest wine company in the U.S. by volume sales and is the U.S. category leader in premium 3-L box wines with its Bota Box brand, the original eco-friendly boxed wine. In celebration, CDI held a two-day launch event at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Jan. 12-13. An evening performance by a Zac Brown cover band was accompanied by portfolio selections, such as 1924, Three Finger Jack and Z. Alexander Brown wines, with Chris Indelicato, President and CEO, DFW, and many of the company’s marketing and sales teams sharing their knowledge. The next day, teams participated in a portfolio presentation and tasting, showcasing the complete range of Delicato wines. “CDI is extremely honored and excited to broaden our supplier portfolio and expand our partnership with Delicato Family Wines. It was apparent from the very beginning of our partnership with Delicato following their purchase of the Coppola Winery in 2021 the synergy between our two companies. We are very confident that the incredible depth of Delicato’s award-winning portfolio combined with CDI’s capabilities is a winning combination, as witnessed by Coppola far-surpassing industry wine trends to finish off a tremendous 2022. This is another great day for CDI, and an exciting new chapter for both CDI and DFW,” said Jon Fredyna, Vice President of Marketing, CDI.
