CDI Partners with Stratford City Officials for Safety

The Stratford Partnership for Youth and Families, in collaboration with Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI) and the Stratford Police Department, introduced a new set of counter mats for Stratford liquor merchants. The seasonal counter mats remind liquor store customers to “celebrate safely and have peace of mind,” and comply with the law by not providing alcohol to the underaged. The reminder at the point-of-sale is one of the Stratford Partnership’s strategies to limit youth access to alcohol. The Stratford Police Department distributed the mats prior to Labor Day weekend.

The counter mats were designed and produced by CDI. “As members of the partnership, we are among the town and community leaders, youth and parents working to reduce youth substance abuse and create a safe, healthy and drug-free environment where youth and families thrive,” says Bill Steindl, Director of Business Logistics. “We are all partners in responsibility to keep our youth and community safe from the dangerous consequences of underage drinking,” said Stratford Police Chief Joseph McNeil. Mayor John A. Harkins encourages merchants to “help us inform the public and protect our youth.”
