
Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island collaborated on a pairing dinner showcasing wines from Santa Margherita at Shelter Harbor Golf Club in Charlestown on Aug. 1. Named in honor of the club’s late sommelier Michael Maderia, the dinner was hosted by Claudio Andreani of Santa Margherita Wines, who gave guests an education on a selection of brands available in the U.S. through Santa Margherita USA, including Ca’ del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Edizione, Masi Mazzano Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, Lamole di Lamole Vigneto di Campolungo Gran Selezione Chianti Classico, Kettmeir Pinot Grigio, Cantina Mesa Giunco Vermentino and Santa Margherita Brut Rosé. Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner prepared by the culinary team at Shelter Harbor Golf Club. Santa Margherita wines are renowned for their regional character and use of both traditional and innovative winemaking techniques in Italy’s Veneto and Tuscany regions. Ca’ del Bosco’s luxury sparkling wines are created using traditional and modern vintner techniques made from top-quality grapes grown in Franciacorta, a region east of Milan.
