Charter Oak Brewing Co. held a Thirsty Third Thursday event to celebrate the opening of its new brewery and taproom on Shelter Rock Road in Danbury on February 21. Guests toured its 10,000-square-foot facility, which opened to the public in June of 2018. Specializing in pale ales, India pale ales and brown ales along with seasonal offerings, Charter Oak Brewing creates its beers in small batches to guarantee freshness, said Owner P. Scott Vallely. The brewery switched to exclusively canning its brands when it started brewing beer in its new facility in April of 2018. The event in particular showcased its new packaging line as well as brews on tap.
