
Coast Guard House welcomed guests to its Anchor Room for a Rhody Down Under themed dinner, showcasing wines of Australia and New Zealand from within the MS Walker of Rhode Island portfolio May 11. The five-course meal saw pairings with imports from Winebow: Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2022 with salt and pepper calamari, Pewsey Vale Vineyard Eden Valley Riesling 2021 with blue crab, Yalumba Samuel’s Collection Shiraz 2018 with drowning Aussie snags, Yalumba Signature Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz 2018 with herb-roasted lamb and Jansz Premium Rosé NV with a dessert of Pavlova, a meringue-based dessert originating in Australia and New Zealand in the early 20th century.
