A cocktail competition featuring Woodford Reserve Bourbon at Elicit Brewing Co. in Manchester on July 18 was put together in a brand showcase in collaboration with wholesaler Allan S. Goodman and supplier Brown-Forman. Six bartenders squared off, presenting their best cocktails featuring Elicit Brewing’s own private barrel of Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Mixologists’ creations were judged based on presentation, aroma, taste and creativity in a blind tasting by Jeff Conelius, Craft Spirit Specialist, Allan S. Goodman, and Tom Kachmarck, State Manager – CT, Brown-Forman. The winners were: First place: Conrad Meurice, Cocktail Poetry; Second place: Brad Cunningham, La Marea; and Third place: Kennie Valliere, The Marlborough Tavern.
