Cocktail Wars Newport hosted a Halloween-themed Bloody Mary Challenge at Newport’s At The Deck on Oct. 22. Led by Newport Bartender and Newport Cocktail Wars Founder John Begin, the Bloody Mary Challenge showcased Litchfield Distillery Vodka. Five bartenders competed to create their best Bloody Mary cocktails, with Brooke Lenling, Bartender, Mother Pizzeria, named first-place winner with her Mother Pizzeria House Bloody Mary and Jon Edgell, Bartender, Gardiner House, named runner-up with his Green with Envy Bloody Mary. Reggie Nalle, Bar Manager, At The Deck, was named Crowd’s Choice Winner. Based in Litchfield, Connecticut, Litchfield Distillery spirits are available in the state through Johnson Brothers of Rhode Island.
