Comedian Mark Normand visited Rhode Island in December to promote Bodega Cat Straight Rye Whiskey, a brand formed with fellow Comedian Sam Morril. Normand spent time with the Allen’s Wine & Spirits team in Portsmouth for the in-store bottle signing, with shoppers and fans enjoying samples. Distilled in Indiana, Bodega Cat Straight Rye Whiskey has a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. As Bodega Cat is a straight rye, it is meant to be an approachable, minimally cut pour full of caramel and vanilla, and with the bump in proof, a nice kick of rye spice sipped neat, over ice or in cocktails. The brand was started by the two comedian podcasters, who said, “Bodega Cat Straight Rye Whiskey is the every man’s pour, made to be enjoyed after a long day. Sip it straight or on the rocks, or hey, take it however you want it.” The brand is distributed in Rhode Island via McLaughlin & Moran, Inc.
