Connecticut Distilling spirits were showcased at Scottish Dave’s Pub in Clinton on Nov. 21 as part of the venue’s ongoing whisky club tasting events. Regional Brand Ambassador Anthony DeSerio was on hand providing education and tastes. The spirits line uses repurposed beer from local breweries to create its flagship spirits: Charred, Drops, Fort Hill Bourbon Whiskey, Waterville Vodka and Blueberry Fields Rum. Connecticut Distilling spirits are created using green practices and ingredients, including the compounds that are often left over from the beer brewing process, including sugars, fermented beer and yeast. Formerly the home of Continuum Spirits, Connecticut Distilling was acquired by The CoreBev Group in early 2024 and its spirits are in state distribution by Connecticut Distributors, Inc. The distillery is led by The CoreBev Group CEO Stelios Stavrianos and longtime local bar professional Dimitrios Zahariadis, who serves as Distillery Manager.
