The Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA) welcomed Yvette Tavares as its new Membership Director. Tavares brings 15-plus years of leadership experience in sales and marketing, new business development, event management and customer service. The Wethersfield native earned her undergraduate degree from UCONN in Storrs and MBA in International Business from CCSU in New Britain. In addition to roles in nonprofit and retail organizations, Tavares also previously worked in the restaurant business for five years in Miami. In her new role, Tavares is responsible for expanding memberships and strategic partnerships, leading special events and directing overall marketing efforts for the association.
