New Low-Alcohol Wines Enter Markets

By October 25, 2022Connecticut, Rhode Island, Top News

Déluré Rouge 2021 is a medium-bodied red wine with fresh red cherry and blackberry aromas; Blanc 2021 offers enticing aromas of ripe peach and crisp green apple fruit; and Rosé 2021 is pale pink in color with aromas of fresh cherries, strawberries and violets. Each is a low-alcohol, low-calorie wine.

Latitude Beverage Company added a new low-alcohol, low-calorie wine, Déluré, marking an entrance for the company into the booming low-alcohol wine category. Distributed by Latitude in Connecticut and East Coast Beverage in Rhode Island, Déluré wines are each 9% ABV and 85 calories, available in white, red and rosé. Déluré wines are made from grapes harvested in the south of France near the Mediterranean Sea. Déluré Rouge 2021 is a 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah; Déluré Blanc 2021 is a 100% Chardonnay; and Déluré Rosé 2021 is a 100% Grenache. Grapes are picked at full ripeness, and then after fermentation is complete, alcohol is removed from a portion of the wine then blended back in to reduce overall alcohol and calories. The resulting wines are balanced, full-flavored and refreshing.
