Diageo Employees Assemble Holiday Care Packages for Troops

Diageo held its annual North American Military Service Appreciation Month kickoff, where employee volunteers from its Norwalk; New York City; Miami; Plainfield, IL; and Relay, MD, offices assembled care packages for members of the armed forces. A celebration on November 7, 2019, in Norwalk brought together volunteers and representatives from Diageo, Packages From Home and iPads For Soldiers, as well as Crown Royal’s Purple Bag Project through the Diageo Salutes the Troops initiative. Guests of honor included Mayor Harry Rilling, City of Norwalk, who gave opening remarks, and U.S. military veterans from various community organizations, including members of the Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority. The combined efforts targeted a yield of 12,000 care packages for veterans and active-duty troops deployed overseas.
