Diageo, in cooperation with the United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) New Haven chapter, continued its statewide launch of Roe & Co Irish Whiskey with an education and tasting at Elm City Social on March 12. During the session, led by Rasmus Just, Diageo Reserve National Scotch Educator, USBG New Haven members learned about the history of Irish whiskey and the unique traits of Roe & Co Irish Whiskey, a blend of single malt and grain whiskies that is aged in bourbon casks, imparting a smooth texture with flavors of sweet fruit, vanilla and spice.
