El Jimador Tequila Showcased on National Margarita Day

Brown-Forman, in collaboration with Allan S. Goodman, hosted a margarita cocktail competition highlighting El Jimador Tequila at The Scorpion Bar at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Feb. 22. The event date coincided with National Margarita Day, as seven local bartenders created their best versions of the popular cocktail using El Jimador Silver Tequila for the panel of bar professional judges: Anthony DeSerio, Assistant Beverage Director, Foxwoods Resort Casino; Victoria Tenzyk, The Mariner; Sebastian Guerrero, The Port of Call; and Shyam Kulkarni, Owner, Fruitful Mixology. The winners were Jake Jamarillo, Taquerio; Kyle Cozart, Michael Jordan’s Steak House, Mohegan Sun; and Stacy Gardner, Tom’s Watch Bar, Mohegan Sun. Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave from Mexico’s Jalisco region, El Jimador Silver Tequila is double-distilled and not barrel-aged, resulting in a crisp, lightly sweet taste accented with fresh notes of citrus.
