Eno Fine Wines in Providence hosted a Tiki-themed tasting on June 23 from its rooftop, enabling guests to sample showcased rums and learn about the history of rum in cocktails. Boston-based Bully Boy Distillers and Martinique import from Spiribam USA Rhum J.M, each from the Horizon Beverage – Origin Beverage division portfolio, were mixed and served by brand representatives and the Eno team in classic Tiki cocktails for the summer evening tasting event. Bully Boy Distillers, Boston’s first craft distillery founded in 2010, is owned and operated by brothers Will and Dave Willis, who found their inspiration for making small-batch spirits through a local tradition and a deep-rooted family history. Located in the small northern village of Macouba, Martinique, at the base of iconic volcano Mount Pelée, Rhum J.M produces the finest AOC Rhum Agricole from estate-grown sugar cane. Credited to be the first recorded distillery to produce Rhum Agricole, the process takes less than an hour for the sugar cane to go from field to fermentation tank. Wakefield-based Spiribam is the spirits importer for Rhum J.M, Clement, Chairman’s Reserve, Bounty and Admiral Rodney rum brands.
