Wine Twist of Connecticut welcomes Antica Hirpinia, a winery located in the heart of Irpinia, is excited to announce a two-day event to promote and taste its wines in the state of Connecticut. This initiative is part of the “Wine Experiences in the World” project funded by European Union with the OCM Wine Third Countries 2023/2024. The wine tour is divided into two events.
The first is scheduled for Sept. 9 at 7:00pm in Watertown at the Echo Craft Kitchen restaurant, and consists of a tasting dinner aimed at wine lovers, commentators and stakeholders. The second event will take place on Sept. 10 in Norwalk at the Sunset Grille Restaurant starting at 1:00pm and includes a guided tasting of Antica Hirpinia and B2B wines with representatives of the ho.re.ca sector, importers and distributors. In both cases, the degustation of the wine selection of Antica Hirpinia will be guided by experts who, together with the owners of the winery, will provide suggestions on the ideal pairing as well as insights into the unique characteristics and history of each wine.
Antica Hirpinia offers 50 years of experience, starting from the choice of the name, expresses the strong link with the territory, Irpinia, an area of the Campania region that boasts the presence of 3 D.O.C.G.: Taurasi, Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino. These three types, together with the DOC Irpinia Aglianico, Irpinia Coda di Volpe and Irpinia Falanghina are part of the varied production that the winery will present during promotional events in Connecticut.
