Wilson Daniels Wholesale added the wines of Familia Torres to its national portfolio in October 2020, with several additions in the spring of 2021. The inclusion of the Familia Torres’ premium and super-premium wines from Penedès, Priorat, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Rías Baixas marked Wilson Daniels’ first venture into Spain’s market. Familia Torres, founded 150 years ago in Catalonia’s Penedès region, is featured among the world’s 50 best wine tourism destinations. A family-run estate for five generations, Familia Torres is currently overseen by fourth-generation Miguel A. Torres and managed by fifth-generation Miguel Torres Maczassek. New wines include Familia Torres Mas La Plana 2016, DO Penedès, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon; Reserva Real 2016, DO Penedès, a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend; Altos Ibéricos Reserva 2015, DOCa Rioja, 100% Tempranillo, predominantly from Rioja Alavesa; and Celeste Verdejo 2019, DO Rueda, an 85% Verdejo and 5% Sauvignon Blanc.
