Fine Terroir Selections in Connecticut celebrated Lebanon-based winery Ixsir and its recent accolade for its Ixsir Grande Réserve Rosé 2018, named the best rosé in the world for 2021 by the Tastingbook’s Best Wine of the World Competition. The award-winning wine is expected be available in the state in June. In total, 20,675 wines received more than three million votes from 190,000 wine professionals and wine lovers from 115 countries over a period of three months. Founded in 2008, the winery’s name is derived from the Arabic word for “elixir” and its wines reflect the region’s 5,000-plus years of making wines from the ancient soils with modern and sustainable techniques. Ixsir El White, Ixsir El Red, Ixsir Grande Réserve Red, Ixsir Altitudes Blanc and Ixsir Altitudes Rouge are also Connecticut offerings.
