Freixenet Cava provided adult post-race refreshments on Thanksgiving Day to runners and walkers who participated in the 45th annual Lenny & Joe’s Madison Turkey Trot. More than 3,600 runners and walkers participated in the 5-mile run and 2-mile walk starting and ending in the heart of Madison, with the course featuring scenic views of the Long Island Sound on Nov. 23. Noah’s at 63 Main in Essex donated Freixenet to the Madison Jaycees. The CT WaveRunners, a 501(c)(3) running club, prepared the Freixenaid Cocktail, which showcased one part lemonade and three parts Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut for the finishers. Freixenet is the No. 1 Cava producer globally and the No. 1 Cava importer into the U.S., according to Douglas MacLeod, Connecticut State Manager, Freixenet Mionetto USA, who was also on hand during the race to help educate finishers on the iconic sparkling Spanish wine.
