Local non-profit Journey Home, who works towards ending homelessness in the Greater Hartford region, hosted its First Annual Gala on Friday, January 29, 2016 at The Atrium at CityPlace in Hartford. The fundraising event, called “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” featured fare by Max Downtown, food and beverage tastings from NoRA Cupcakes and Hartford Flavor Company, a live auction with WFSB-TV’s Scot Haney, music by the Steve & Tony Davis Quartet, alongside many other guest offerings.

Hartford Flavor’s Wild Moon Liqueurs were featured in cocktails, poured by its co-founders, Tom and Lelaneia Dubay. Wild Moon’s cranberry flavor was used in the event’s signature cocktail made by Max Downtown’s Mike Boiano, named “The Wild Moon Beam” and included Jim Beam bourbon. Month-long January sales of the cocktail at Max Downtown also raised proceeds for Journey Home. The all-natural, botanically flavored liqueurs are produced at the company’s recently opened distillery-plus-tasting room in Hartford, and are available via Brescome Barton.
