Evenstad Estates promoted Ryan Harris to Chief Executive Officer and President. Harris will succeed Grace Evenstad, who served as Co-CEO with her late husband and Co-founder, Ken Evenstad. She will now act as Owner, Founder and Chair of the Board. Harris will continue to lead the production of the company’s world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay under the Domaine Serene, Château de la Crée and Maison Evenstad brands. During his tenure, Domaine Serene wines have earned 95 points or higher from major critics 120 times and, most recently, Domaine Serene was named the world’s most awarded winery at the 2020 Decanter World Wine Awards. Under Harris’ leadership, Evenstad Estates acquired Château de la Crée, the venerable 15th-century Domaine located in Burgundy’s Côte-d’Or, making the Evenstads the first Oregon-based vintners to own land and produce wine in Burgundy. Evenstad Estates now owns 25 acres of vineyards in Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Maranges.
