Henkell Sparkling Wine was among sponsors of the annual Faxon Law New Haven Road Race on Sept. 4, a Labor Day tradition, with its banner emblazoned with the slogan #MakeLifeSparkle. The 20K National Championship saw more than 4,000 participants, with runners choosing the traditional 20K, a half marathon or a 5K. Since its launch in 1856, Henkell has become Germany’s most recognized sparkling wine brand for its lively effervescence accompanied by citrus and fruit flavors and a balanced finish. Henkell first pioneered the 187 ml, calling it “the piccolo” for “little one.” The fastest male and female runners, 21 and over, earned a piccolo, 187 ml, of Henkell Trocken Dry Sec Sparkling Wine to celebrate their achievement. Henkell Brut 750-ml and Trocken 187-ml piccolos are in distribution across Connecticut from Slocum & Sons.
