Fresh off a summer New England launch, the Essex, Connecticut-based management team for Highclere Castle Spirits celebrated Highclere Castle Gin’s international launch with a party hosted at its namesake location, a 5,000-acre estate in Hampshire, England, and ancestral home to the Carnarvon family for more than 300 years. Co-founders Lord and Lady Carnarvon along with Co-founder and CEO Adam von Gootkin welcomed guests from across the U.S. and UK during the 1920s-themed party set on the castle grounds on September 6, which also famously serves as the location of television and film’s “Downton Abbey.” A super-premium London Dry Gin with botanicals from the castle’s herb gardens, Highclere Castle Gin’s recipe uses juniper, orange peel, lime flower, lavender and estate-grown oats. “We pride our gin on being the highest quality, consistent with the history and pedigree of Highclere Castle,” said von Gootkin.
