Horizon Beverage Company of Rhode Island participated in a breast cancer awareness fundraiser, Tough Enough to Wear Pink, during the month of October, sponsored by Purple Cowboy Wines and Wrangler, the apparel company. On October 18, the company wore pink as part of ongoing awareness efforts. Vintage Wine Estates’ brands Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red and Clayhouse Cabernet Sauvignon teamed up for the second annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink, the western community’s grassroots campaign to battle breast cancer. President of Vintage Wine Estates and breast cancer survivor Terry Wheatley is dedicated to supporting the fight against breast cancer by donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle of wine year-round to the nonprofit group. Tough Enough to Wear Pink coincides with October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to commemorate those lost, celebrate survivors and renew support for breast cancer awareness and research. It also serves as a reminder to schedule a breast health checkup or mammogram.
