J. Lohr Announces Executive Roles

J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines promoted award-winning Director of Winemaking Steve Peck to the position of Vice President, Winemaking. Peck will oversee the full J. Lohr portfolio and additional tiers and will collaborate with Winemaker, White Wine, Kristen Barnhisel and Winemaker, Red Wine, Brenden Wood. Plant Manager Ian Herdman was promoted to the position of Vice President, Production. Herdman, a 30-plus-year veteran, will oversee all aspects of J. Lohr’s operations across three counties, including its Paso Robles and Greenfield wineries, and the company’s winery, warehouse and bottling operations in San Jose. Additionally, CEO Steve Lohr was named President, expanding his scope of responsibilities. Peck and Herdman will report to Lohr. Founded 48 years ago by Jerry Lohr and still family-owned and -operated today, J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines grows, produces and bottles a full line of internationally recognized wines. The company said the new structure recognizes the achievements and responsibilities of key individuals after the retirement of President and COO Jeff Meier in December 2021.
