Fred B. Noe, the James B. Beam Distilling Co.’s seventh generation Master Distiller, announced the appointment of Freddie Noe as Master Distiller of the Clermont, Kentucky-based Fred B. Noe Distillery in May. This marks the first time in Beam history that two Master Distillers, Fred and Freddie Noe, will work side-by-side at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. Freddie Noe will oversee the Fred B. Noe Distillery experimenting with new fermentation, distillation and blending techniques and leading hands-on distillation sessions and seminars. The announcement was made at a ribbon cutting event at the James B. Beam Distilling Co., attended by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Beam Suntory President & CEO Albert Baladi, among guests. The gathering celebrated more than two centuries of bourbon legacy and commemorated the revamped distillery homestead and visitor experience. Fred Noe will maintain his role as Master Distiller, overseeing the company’s brands including Jim Beam Bourbon, Knob Creek Bourbon, Basil Hayden and others.
