Jones Visits Mezon for Rhum Agricole Seminar

By July 29, 2015Connecticut, Top News

Mezon in Danbury hosted a seminar for trade professionals on rhum agricole on June 22, 2015. Ben Jones, a fourth generation member of the Clément family from Martinique, presented to members of the United States Bartenders Guild Connecticut (USBG CT) chapter and Mezon staff. The Clement family has a long and important history to the island and to the production of rhum agricole. Jones spoke about how many of the great rhum agricoles of the Caribbean come from the island of Martinique, an overseas region of France. Rhum Clément is therefore under the same rigorous guidelines for the Appellation d’Origine Controlée as Champagne.
