Rhode Island Bartender Parker Luthman of The Eddy, who placed as a finalist in the national Heaven Hill Brands and Liquor.com competition for Bartender of the Year, was feted during a celebration at Durk’s Bar B Q in Providence on June 4. Hosted by MS Walker and Heaven Hill Brands, guests enjoyed specialty cocktails featuring spirits from Heaven Hill Distillery along with Durk’s Bar B Q bites. Luthman went on to vie for the title of Bartender of the Year and $15,000 at Half-Mile Farm in Highlands, North Carolina, during the final competition round from June 17-20, 2019.
