WHAT: Sammy’s Buy-Rite Liquors, in collaboration with the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department, will host the 16th-annual Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department Beer and Wine Tasting at the William J. Pitkin Community Center in Wethersfield on March 28. Representatives from local distributors and suppliers, along with Fire Department volunteers, will pour a variety of fine wine, spirits and craft beer selections for guests. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wethersfield Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Scholarship Fund.
