Mezon Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Danbury hosted its annual Cinco de Mayo Block Party celebration, including food, music and cocktail specials alongside the featured Espolon Tequila Cocktail Competition on May 5, 2017. Competitors included Dorian Dorsey of Mezon Tapas Bar & Restaurant, Javelle Taft of Mecha Noodle Bar, Daniel Cornish of Terra Restaurant, Michael Hydinger of Bailey’s Backyard, Lundrim Dauti of Stanziato’s and Jasson Arias of Rice & Beans. Each bartender created an original cocktail featuring Espolon Tequila as the base ingredient. Taft took first place, with Dorsey in second place and Arias in third place.
