Michael Mondavi, vinter and entrepreneur, has been named the 2015 “Person of the Year” by Wine Enthusiast’s Wine Star Awards. Mondavi is celebrating his 50th anniversary since his first harvest and his 10th year vintage of “M by Michael Mondavi” and Folio Fine Wine Partners, this year. “This recognition by the Wine Enthusiast is very humbling,” said Mondavi. “However, it would be more accurate to call it ‘Persons of the Year’ because it reflects the hard work and dedication of so many people including my wife, Isabel, my children, Rob and Dina, our team at Folio, and the great network of distributors and clients with whom we have built relationships over the past years.” Mondavi will be honored at the Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards dinner in January 2016. “His relentless drive to innovate and continue learning, community spirit, and generosity with colleagues and employees make Michael one of the brightest stars in our industry,” said Adam Strum, publisher and editor of Wine Enthusiast. “He is a person of great integrity and truly an ‘eternal student of wine.’”
