Monsieur Touton Selection Ltd. featured Emmanuel Riffaud, General Manager, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, during its weekly Instagram Live education series on Nov. 19. During the online event hosted by David Hunter, Director of Online Content and Education, Monsieur Touton Selection, Riffaud discussed the wines of Escudo Rojo in Chile, a wholly owned Chilean subsidiary of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, while giving guests an interactive tour of the vineyards, which are located on approximately 156 acres in Chile’s Maipo Valley. Riffaud discussed and tasted some of the vineyard’s top wines, including its latest release, Baronesa P., a limited-production, full-bodied red blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Carménère, with the remaining 15% comprised equally of Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Baronesa P. was rated as a 97-point wine by American wine critic James Suckling.
