Murphy Distributors added Taonga Sauvignon Blanc to its Connecticut wine portfolio. Taonga is a Maori word for “treasured gift” and Murphy’s team said it believes “this wine is sure to be a treasure to all who enjoy it.” Crafted in the sunny vineyards of New Zealand, Taonga Sauvignon Blanc is made from the finest grapes and aged to perfection. The grapes come from Taonga’s vineyards in the mid and lower Waihopai Valley of the Marlborough region of New Zealand. The vineyards are certified sustainable by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand. “We are thrilled to introduce Taonga Sauvignon Blanc to wine enthusiasts across the state,” said Matthew Murphy, President, Murphy Distributors. “The Sauvignon Blanc category is exploding and we believe Taonga will fit right in with the best in the space. We pride ourselves with providing our customers with high-quality wines from all across the world. To have Taonga in our portfolio right as the summer months arrive is perfect for anyone looking for that classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc flavor and profile.” Wine Spectator awarded Taonga 90 points, while jamessuckling.com scored the 2022 vintage a 91.
