Brescome Barton, in collaboration with Campari USA, hosted a cocktail competition featuring Grand Marnier at New Britain’s The Industrial Cocktail Bar on Oct. 16. Nine local bartenders competed in the Not Your Grandma’s Cocktail Competition, creating their best cocktails for judges using Grand Marnier as a base spirit. Judges Alejandra Parra; Brian Cass, Key Account Manager, Hartley & Parker Limited, Inc.; and Justin Morales, Owner, Up n’ Down Rock and Bourbon, evaluated each selection as Hartley & Parker’s Bonnie Van Grouw emceed the event with music spun by DJ MDoTLive. The winners were First place: Atilio Lopez, I Know You Know; Second place: Clarissa Lonero, The Spicy Green Bean; and Third place: Geoff Smith, Birch Hill Tavern.
