Allan S. Goodman launched new spirits for April. Bowling & Burch Gin from Limestone Branch Distillery in Kentucky joins its current offerings of Yellowstone Bourbon and Minor Case Rye Whiskey. Bowling & Burch Gin is a small-batch gin crafted with 17 botanicals, some of which are grown on the property, and is infused with flavors such as honeysuckle and lemon verbena. All that’s needed is tonic. Denver-based Stranahan’s released Blue Peak, a single-malt offering that marries tradition with innovation. Blue Peak is an American single malt distilled at high altitude, aged in new American oak barrels and is Solera finished – a maturation process typically used in wine, resulting in a rich and mellow whiskey.
- Bowling & Burch Gin is fragrant on the nose with herbal notes of rosemary, thyme and citrus, with tart orange, honeysuckle, lemon verbena and coriander on the palate and a zippy spice finish.
