New Haven Cocktail Week will return after a three-year hiatus. The cocktail-centric showcase is spread across venues in the Elm City on September 18-24. A weeklong celebration of spirits brands and cocktail creations, the event’s mission is to “promote to the public and trade, the art of mixology, to showcase the brands of our supplier partners and to educate the public with cocktail recipes that are accessible, fun and delicious.” Guests will have the opportunity to learn about sponsor brands and the bartending craft, as well as enjoy special menus in support of the city’s small businesses. New Haven bars and restaurants will offer their best cocktails and special guests will offer education and tasting sessions. Founded and organized by New Haven bar owners and industry professionals in 2018, including Ordinary’s Tim Cabral and Ben Zemke, The Owl Shop’s Glen Greenberg and Elm City Social’s John Brennan, the annual event celebrates the art of mixology, showcasing area bars and restaurants, suppliers and spirits brands while educating consumers through tastings and education and raising funds for a community cause.
