Connecticut Distributors, Inc., added new brands spanning a range of categories and styles. 2XO Bourbon, billed as a “contemporary twist on historic blending traditions,” is a new whiskey brand from renowned blender Dixon Dedman. 2XO, meaning Two Times Oak, refers to Dedman’s unique blending process where he re-barrels his hand-selected whiskey into new charred oak barrels to create a unique combination of intense flavors, character and complexity with each blend, with the first offering American Oak 92-proof, 46% ABV. New from the Call and Groth families, Hemingway Rye Whiskey is built on family traditions, reflecting the famous author’s legacy and family as well. Whiskey pioneer and founder Steve Groth and his two sons collaborated with seventh-generation Master Distiller Ron Call and his two sons, Clayton and eighth-generation Master Distiller Jacob, with Hemingway Whiskey Signature Edition, a 102-proof, 51% ABV blend of straight rye whiskeys finished in rum-seasoned Oloroso sherry casks. Bacardi Ocho Sevillian Orange Cask Finish Rum is a limited-edition rare rum blend hand-selected from some of the iconic distillery’s most exceptional barrels of aged rum from the Bacardi family reserve, aged from eight to 12 years in American oak barrels with an additional finish in vino de naranja (orange wine) casks.
