Newport Storm re-releases LocAle, a Saison ale made with local honey.

Newport Storm Brewery re-released LocAle, a Saison ale made with local clover honey from Annie B’s Honey Farm in Cumberland. “While similar to the last version, the brewers couldn’t resist making interesting tweaks to this one,” said Brent Ryan, Founder and President of Newport Storm. The finish on the LocAle 2017 release is drier, allowing more of a spicy character to come through. The Saison features hints of lemongrass, pepper and ginger. Golding, Equinox and Tettanger hops were used in production to bring out aromas of apple and pear, and Canada pale and Canada wheat and honey malts round out the balance. LocAle is 7% ABV and is available in 4-packs and draught options.
