Newport Storm rolled out its “12 Sheets to the Wind” Summer Variety Pack, becoming the first Rhode Island microbrewery to offer a variety pack of its beers to consumers. The pack includes three bottles of each: flagship Hurricane Amber Ale, known by many as the original Newport Storm; India Point Ale, named after a RI landmark and filled with local hops from Ocean State Hop Farm; Summer Hefeweizen, a crisp citrus summer day brew; and a new release only available in the variety pack, a traditionally-brewed Pilsner. The variety pack became available in stores through Northeast Beverage in June. Coastal Extreme Brewing Company has been brewing Newport Storm beers since 1999.
