Newport’s Island Wine & Spirits hosted a Summer Grand Wine Tasting on Aug. 17. High-end selections and varietals from around the world were represented at the Saturday afternoon tasting, where shoppers enjoyed firsthand education, sampling new selections and purchasing new brands for their end-of-summer celebrations. Representatives from a variety of local wholesalers and suppliers poured for guests, including Atlantic Beverage Distributors, Johnson Brothers of Rhode Island, MS Walker of Rhode Island and Mancini Beverage – Martignetti division. Dozens of fine wines were available for customers to taste as they shopped along with light refreshments.
