Oceanstate Wine & Spirits added new portfolio offerings. From Argentina comes Punto Final, a name which refers to the moment when the winemaking team considers that it has achieved its ultimate goal: exceptional, easy-to-drink wines that express the typicity of each varietal in an authentic way. The new offerings by Punto Final include a Malbec and Cabernet from Bodegas Renacer, located in Perdriel, a unique area of Mendoza, Argentina, at the foot of the Andes Mountains and on the south margin of the Mendoza River. Malbecs and Cabernets find their best expression due to the outstanding characteristics of climate, altitude, soil and water. New from California wine offerings, Gold Palm Vineyards wines are a new modern classic by “letting Cali varieties do what they do best. A pure expression of Californian soil, punching above their weight.” The winery is a partnership between two families of winemakers: brothers Dylan and Justin Fairweather from their McLaren Vale winery Alpha Box & Dice and Brian Lewis, the brand’s South Carolina counterpart, bringing wines from around the world into American homes, whose experience in making, selling, branding and pouring is part of the team’s approach to producing bottles made to be shared.
- Punto Final Cabernet Sauvignon offers spices, black fruits, sandalwood and flowers on the nose with forceful, firm tannins, good structure and a slight sweet sensation on the palate.
- Punto Final Malbec is a bold organically grown Malbec. On the palate, a fresh touch of acidity balances the juicy fruit, and the tannins are soft.
- Gold Palm Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon offers soft red fruit flavors accented by a touch of spice and dark chocolate. Spending time in oak gives this wine a touch of vanilla and hints of coffee on the long soft finish.
