The Great Gatsby Moonshine Ball & Onyx 111 Infusion Challenge, a sellout event, was held on September 28, 2013 where over 300 guests attended in 1920s attire. The event was held at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown, only a few miles away from the speakeasy that Onyx Spirits Company co-founder Adam von Gootkin’s family operated during prohibition. Twelve Connecticut restaurants participated in the infusion challenge, using Onyx 111 as the base.
