The Paso Robles American Viticultural Area (AVA) received the honor of being named the 2013 Wine Region of the Year in Wine Enthusiasts’ annual Wine Star Awards. Paso Robles Wine Country, located along California’s Central Coast, has over 200 wineries and 32,000 vineyard acres. The region’s winemakers, growers and industry are “ecstatic” to be held in the highest regard among some of the world’s greatest wine producing regions. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our wineries and growers whose individual accomplishments help raise the bar of the region as a whole,” said Jennifer Porter, Executive Director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance.
