Pernod Ricard USA announced it will invest $250 million over five years to build a state-of-the-art, carbon-neutral distillery with related aging warehouses in Marion County, Kentucky, for its fast-growing Jefferson’s Bourbon brand. The investment signals Pernod Ricard USA’s confidence in American whiskey, but it is also expected to add jobs in Kentucky and generate extra economic benefits for Kentucky-based businesses during the construction period, the company said. Pernod Ricard’s premium American whiskey portfolio, The American Whiskey Collective, expects U.S. sales will account for a significant amount of the company’s total volumes within the next five to 10 years. Home to the beloved Jefferson’s brand, the new distillery will allow for efficient production to meet the strong consumer demand and help fulfill its commitment to sustainability.
