
Jonathan Pogash, also known as “The Cocktail Guru,” mixed up summer cocktails at various Newport events including The Newport Flower Show, The Black Ships Festival Gala and The Newport International Polo Series. The Rosecliff Mansion in Newport hosted The Black Ships Festival Gala where Pogash served cocktails to honor Newport’s sister city relationship with Shimoda, Japan. Pogash created Commodore Perry Punch made with Thomas Tew Rum, El Peloton Mezcal, RIPE Bajan Punch, POM Juice and fresh local herbs, as well as the Shimoda Sparkler, with St. Elder Liqueur, Gekkeiken sparkling sake, Perfect Puree Yuzu Lime Sour and Perfect Puree White Peach. Pogash was also a featured vendor at The Newport International Polo Series offering cocktails featuring Hendrick’s Gin, Thomas Tew Rum and Van Gogh Vodka and was a featured guest on “The Rhode Show” showcasing Fourth of July cocktail ideas.
- At the Newport Flower Show, Pogash created floral-themed cocktails including Grand Trianon, made with Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka, St. Elder Elderflower Liqueur, RIPE Balkan Punch, B’Lurre Butterfly Pea Flower and Eva’s Edible Flowers; and Provence Chic, made with Caorunn Scottish Gin, Monin Lavender Syrup, RIPE Cranberry Juice, Perfect Puree Ginger, lavender bitters, fresh cucumber and lavender.
