Providence’s University Club, in collaboration with MS Walker of Rhode Island, hosted a pairing dinner featuring spirits from Warren, Vermont’s Mad River Distillers on April 6. Mad River Distillers began distilling whiskey, rum and brandy in 2013 on a 150-year-old farm in the heart of the Mad River Valley, with a focus on aged spirits that are character-driven and full of flavor. Guests enjoyed five courses of cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Arthur Barrette, each paired with spirits tastes or cocktails featuring bourbon, rye and rum from Mad River Distillers. During the evening, guests tasted Mad River Distillers Bourbon, Burnt Rock Bourbon, Revolution Rye and First Run Rum.
