The Real McCoy Rum participated in the Rum for All Seminar and Tasting at the Astor Center in downtown New York City on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Hosted by spirits experts and founders of the Rum For All organization, the event included an interactive VIP seminar and a tasting of 15 featured rums from around the world for over 150 guests. Also in March, the brand’s 12-year aged and 5-year aged rum each took Double Gold and “Best of Show” (for “Extra Aged” and “Dark/Gold Rum” categories respectively) at the the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) Spirits Tasting Competition in Las Vegas. The 3-year aged rum also took a Gold Medal. The Real McCoy Spirits, Corp. is based in Mystic.
