Washington, D.C.-based Responsibility.org announced Robert Hall, CEO of Ole Smoky Distillery, LLC, will serve as Chair of its Board of Directors and Tara Engel, Vice President, Public and National Affairs, Pernod Ricard, will serve as Vice Chair. They assumed their positions beginning Jan. 1 and each will serve for two years. Marc Bromfeld, Director of Corporate Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility at Edrington Americas, will step down as Chair, having held the position for two full terms beginning in 2019. Responsibility.org also approved a new strategic plan that will define the organization’s role amid growing mental health concerns, as well as forming campaigns to strengthen relationships within the industry to advance alcohol responsibility. Responsibility.org is a national not-for-profit that aims to eliminate drunk driving and works with others to end all impaired driving, eliminate underage drinking and empower adults to make a lifetime of responsible alcohol choices.
