Rhode Island Seafood Festival Returns to Providence

The 2019 Rhode Island Seafood Festival, now in its eighth year, returned to Providence’s India Point Park on September 7-8. Guests enjoyed fresh seafood from area restaurants, including Away Café, Just Us Foods & Cakes, Laughing Crab Catering, Lobster Tailgate, Macray’s Seafood, Matunuck Oyster Bar, Plouf Plouf Gastronomie, Red’s Street Kitchen, Seafood Hut, Shuckin’ Truck, Stanley’s, Taproot Sunset Farm and Swamp Monkeys. Beverage selections were available accompaniments, including local beer from Whalers Brewing Company and Narragansett Beer; Loyal 9 canned cocktails; Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails; Arctic Summer Spiked Seltzer; and wines from California’s Josh Cellars. Musicians TJay and the Tallboys and Connecticut-based rock funk group Joon performed live during the weekend event.
