
Pawtucket-based Rhode Island Spirits was highlighted during a cocktail dinner at the Rooftop at the Providence G Fireside, held on the downtown Providence venue’s west terrace on April 22. Featured spirits at the sold-out dinner included Rhodium Coffee & Black Walnut Vodka, Rhodium RI Red Vodka and Rhodium Grapefruitcello Liqueur. Guests enjoyed a three-course menu paired with a creative cocktail featuring spirits from RI Spirits’ Rhodium product line. Dishes included a shaved squash and baby kale salad to start, paired with a Grapefruitcello Spritz cocktail; followed by braised short ribs with polenta, honey roasted carrots and hazelnut salsa verde along with a Rhodium Red cocktail; concluding with chocolate frittelle with coffee crème anglaise for dessert, paired with a Black Walnut Espresso Martini. RI Spirits Owners Kara Larson and Cathy Plourde opened their Pawtucket tasting room in March 2019 and have grown their product offerings to include Rhodium Grapefruitcello Liqueur, Rhodium Limoncello Liqueur, Rhodium RI Red Vodka, Rhodium Coffee & Black Walnut Vodka, Rhodium Forager’s Gin, Rhodium Gin and Rhodium Vodka, along with seasonal offerings. The RI Spirits’ Rhodium line is available from its tasting room and in distribution with Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island. RI Spirits’ recently reopened its tasting room to guests after a pandemic closure, hosting visitors once again. Another cocktail dinner featuring RI Spirits’ Rhodium line is planned for May.
